The Mariner Link is considered to be a modern-day symbol of strength. Historically, the Mariner Link Chain, also known as the Anchor chain, was invented in the early 1800s when bigger ships necessitated stronger links to support larger anchors. One foundry determined to weld a metal bridge on-center to the link, thereby increasing its strength, and the Mariner Link was born! Over the years, its design has been refined to reflect the exquisite design it is today. Our Mariner Link chain is 48” long and contains six (6) mariner links. Wear it long or double-wrapped.
